Jonathon Fonos has lived and fished on Dore Lake his whole life and has been a fishing guide for 35 years. He is the man behind Saskatoon’s Fonos Fish, a popular spot at the Saskatoon Farmer’s Market, and has been selling fresh, locally caught fish for 15 years.
Jonathon believes that fishing is a fun experience for everyone, of any gender, and decided to break away from traditional outfitter business to develop a fishing adventure that is inclusive for women.
Named after the French word for “golden,” the 61,000 hectare Dore Lake is one of Northern Saskatchewan’s largest bodies of water. Boasting some of the provinces best hunting and fishing, the wilderness around the lake is a great place to see wildlife, camp and enjoy the great outdoors.
